Medtronic Inc. names Stephan Stenglein, MD as the new Director, Research & Clinical Neuromodulation & ENT/NT effective May 1, 2008. Dr. Stenglein previously was the Global Brand Medical Director Respiratory for Novartis Pharma. Medtronic, a leading maker of implantable biomedical devices, the company makes defibrillators and pacemakers that help the heart beat normally.

Nestle SA Galderma announces Mr. Marc Wannoff as the new General Manager-Germany effective May 1, 2008. Mr. Wannoff previously was the General Manager-Czech Republic & Slovak Republic for Schwarz Pharma. Galderma focuses exclusively on developing dermatology over-the-counter and prescription products.

Ipsen SA proclaims Ms. Claudia Denuell as the new Finance Director-Germany effective May 1, 2008. Ms. Denuell previously was the Financial Controller for Cardinal Health. Ipsen develops pharmaceutical products that target oncology, endocrinology, and neuromuscular disorders.

Merck & Company Inc. Merial announces Ellen de Brabander-van den Berg, PhD as the new Head of Global Research & Development effective May 5, 2008. Dr. de Brabander-van den Berg previously was the Head of Research & Development-Global for Intervet. Merial, a joint venture between Merck and Sanofi-Aventis, the company makes a variety of drugs and vaccines that treat and prevent disease in pets, livestock, and wildlife.

Novartis AG CIBA Vision declares Mr. Reinaldo Leon as the new Vice President, Quality effective May 5, 2008. Mr. Leon previously was the Vice President, Quality Operations-Worldwide for Ethicon. CIBA Vision provides research and development and manufactures eyeglasses and contacts.

EnerSys Inc. names Mr. Sng Hiap So'a as the new Finance Director-Asia effective May 19, 2008. Mr. Sng previously was the Vice President, Finance-Asia Pacific for Power-One Singapore. EnerSys makes stationary industrial batteries that provide uninterruptible power and backup power for electronic systems and motive power batteries for big equipment such as forklifts.
