Ken Clark International announces the successful
completion of its search for a Chief Financial Officer for Biosensors
International Group, in Newport Beach, California.
Ken Clark International (KCI) is pleased to announce the successful
completion of the executive search project for the Chief Financial
Officer for Biosensors International Group whose global headquarters
are in Newport Beach, California.
Biosensors International Group, designs, develops, and markets
innovative medical devices used in interventional cardiology and
critical care procedures. Biosensors is well-positioned to emerge
as a leader in drug-eluting stents (DES) with the offer of its unique
Biomatrix and Axxion products. DES is an evolving therapy that has
an estimated market potential in excess of US $6 billion and is
rapidly gaining share from traditional therapies such as bare-metal
stenting and open heart surgery.
Our placement from the search project is Chato Abad. Ms. Abad was
the Interim CFO and Consultant for ALPHARMA, headquartered in Ft.
Lee, New Jersey. ALPHARMA’s core business segments include
an active pharmaceutical ingredients business, a growing branded
products business and an internationally recognized animal health
business focused on products that enhance food quality and safety
for humans. Ms. Abad played an instrumental role in the acquisition
of ALPHARMA’s human generics business by the Actavis Group.
Prior to her role with ALPHARMA, Ms. Abad was the Vice President,
Finance for Watson Pharmaceuticals in California. Ms. Abad began
her career at Watson in 1987 as Controller and was promoted to Vice
President in 1995.
KCI conducted a global executive search for Biosensors International
within the healthcare products manufacturing and services segments
of the Life Sciences industry. Through a process of recruiting and
evaluation, Ms. Abad was placed as the newest executive at Biosensors
in competition with several other global candidates.
