Regional President Lydia van der Meulen joined Ken Clark International’s European headquarters in Windsor, UK in 1997. In 2002 she set up KCI’s Benelux office in Breda and been successfully managing it since. Starting 2006 the Benelux team is extended and Lydia continues to focus on the Netherlands. Lydia has successfully established various new client partnerships both with European multinationals at corporate headquarter level as well as with the European headquarters of US multinationals. She has been instrumental in extending these relationships to other European countries, to the US and also to Japan. In combination with her business development responsibility, Lydia continues to support global KCI clients as well as local companies in identifying and recruiting Professionals and Executives from Life Sciences, Specialty Chemicals and Consumer industries in most functional disciplines – searching across Europe or in a specific region. She has successfully executed senior level search projects for clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device/ equipment, diagnostic, scientific and chemicals industries; including Kimberly Clark, J&J, Varian Medical Systems, bioMerieux, Fort Dodge Animal Health, Organon, DSM etc. Lydia is a graduate in International Business (1991) with fifteen years experience in the service industry, both in search & selection as well as a Financial Planner with a Dutch private bank. She has worked and lived in Kuwait and in the UK, speaks English, French, some German and native Dutch.
