Graham Johnson is a Regional President
for the Industrial, Chemicals and Materials practice in Europe,
based in Basel for Ken Clark International (KCI).
Graham Johnson began his career at
Shell International Petroleum and spent years in various functions
as a petroleum engineer and technical trainer.
In 1990, Johnson joined Ciba-Geigy
in Basel, Switzerland, (later to become Ciba Specialty Chemicals)
as technical marketing manager in the Pigments Division. For the
next 10 years, he held various executive positions in marketing
and business development, and was responsible for several new developments,
which grew to become multi-million dollar businesses. The focus
of these activities was initially the inks, plastics and paint industries,
and later the high technology applications such as digital recording
and electronic displays.
In 2000, Johnson became Managing Director
of Rolic Technologies Ltd., a research and development company active
in liquid crystal technology, where he was responsible for the commercialization
to Rolic’s technology through licensing and technology transfers.
The company was active in the electronic display, optical thin film
and document security industries.
Johnson is a British citizen,
but has spent his entire working life in Asia, the Netherlands and
Switzerland. He graduated from Cambridge University with a Masters
Degree in Chemical Engineering.
