Doris Chin

Doris Chin serves as vice president of operations for the Asia Pacific region for Ken Clark International (KCI) from the firm’s Singapore office. She is accountable for the quality, timeliness and successful execution of all search projects in the region.  Doris manages research and recruiting activities; hires, trains and supervises KCI researchers and recruiters; and oversees the implementation of continuous improvements in KCI’s search process and Top Talent proprietary database.  She originally joined KCI in the spring of 2002. 

Previous Experience. Prior to her re-joining KCI in 2010, Mrs. Chin was Managing Partner of The Integrity Group Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. She was responsible for the firm’s strategy, client and assignment management for searches requiring world class global and regional executives executed on the ground from within the Region for the Life Sciences industry. Before that, she was a Director with CTPartners, a premier executive search firm. She started her search career with Boyden in 1990.  Her corporate career includes tenures with Booz Allen Hamilton, FMC, and Union Carbide.

Doris is a committed and experienced search practitioner possessing hands-on, direct Asia Pacific experience. Known throughout the industry in Asia Pacific, she has successfully completed assignments for general management positions including CEO, CFO, President, and Regional General Manager. She has attracted individuals to senior roles in research, development, commercialization, sales, quality, operations, and other functions as well as recruited talent for global teams based throughout Asia Pacific. Doris has been involved in global cross-border search execution, and is especially adept at satisfying conflicting expectations between the client’s global headquarters level goals with the Asia Regional headquarters objectives. Doris also conducted assignments for premier consumer, management consulting, and industrial companies.

She has been in the search industry for 20 years and has recruited extensively for North and South Asia countries. Not only is Doris someone who understands the diverse cultural differences that is Asia, but she also understands how to recruit leadership talent that can work with corporate headquarters while also fitting culturally in Asia and are effective in the Asia marketplace.

Education. Doris holds a Master’s degree in management from MacQuarie University. Her career experiences provided her opportunities to broaden her understanding of diverse business and cultural practices. Singaporean by birth, Doris resided and worked in Toronto, New York, Hong Kong, and Singapore. She is fluent in English and also speaks Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese.
