William Skillman serves as Regional President-Northeast
for Ken Clark International (KCI). He is charged with the task of
business development and marketing, client management, and project
execution for the Central United States.
An internationally experienced, healthcare executive with over
20 years experience in all phases of commercial operations. Skillman
has held executive leadership positions within Genzyme Genetics
and the Johnson and Johnson family of companies including Therakos
and Ortho Clinical Diagnostics.
Strategic assignments have covered the full scope of business franchise
management including finance, sales, commercial development, strategic
and creative marketing and the management of corporate alliances.
Bill has established and led successful business teams, including
distributor networks, in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the US.
Skillman is known as a creative and strategic leader with the ability
to build high value relationships across cultural boundaries.
As the Vice President of Marketing at Genzyme Genetics, a company
providing leading edge diagnostic testing solutions in the fields
of reproductive health and oncology, Bill initiated a new level
of scientific and market outreach leading to increased collaboration,
improved business results and enhancing the success of the diagnostics
to therapeutics strategy in personalized medicine.
At Therakos, a J&J company pioneering the development of combination
therapies in the field of immune cell therapy, Bill held the position
of Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing and was a member
of the management board. He developed key strategies linking the
scientific, clinical and business communities resulting in significantly
improved patient care, enhanced customer satisfaction and accelerated
business growth.
Bill began his career at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, a Johnson
and Johnson company, with market leading franchises in Transfusion
Medicine. He ultimate held the position of Vice President, Worldwide
Marketing for Transfusion Medicine. At Ortho, Bill was a member
of the Global Management Team, America’s Board, Ortho-Chiron
Supervisory Board and the European Management Team
Bill completed his undergraduate work, with honors, at the University
of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and completed Duke University’s
Global Executive Program.
